I got into pet furniture because I was the person with the cat and the ruined living room. The litter box sat in the middle of a small apartment and looked exactly like what it was — and everything labeled "pet furniture" was either ugly or not really furniture. So I sketched a litter cabinet that could pass as a side table, found a factory to prototype it, and went through more revisions than I'd like to admit before it actually worked. Since then, everything OmniHaven makes has to read as a real piece of furniture first, then do the pet job. I've spent years in the prototyping and manufacturing trenches — sample rounds, mold changes, getting a water-based finish right — so I know what actually holds up in a small room and what just looks good in a photo.
