Tom Shield is an urban strategist and co-founder of Gledhill Shield, a strategy consultancy for the built world. He works on the decisions that shape how cities grow, move and change, bringing together strategy, planning, design and governance across major infrastructure, urban renewal and precinct projects. Over 17 years across government and private practice, Tom has led urban strategy and design across approximately $32 billion of major rail infrastructure projects, including Melbourne’s Metro Tunnel, Regional Rail Revival and Melbourne Airport Rail.
