Seun Shokunbi

Seun Shokunbi’s work has appeared in Al Jazeera English, GNET, and The Lancet Global Health. She has spoken at TEDx, Boston College, Rutgers University, and Columbia Business School. She has a decade of experience in the K-12 education sector, beginning as a middle school English teacher in the South Bronx and later becoming an instructional design and assessments coach for K-12 educators. In 2018, Seun completed a fellowship with Education Pioneers and pursued educational policy coursework at Teachers College, Columbia University. She holds a Master’s degree from the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London), graduating magna cum laude with a dissertation analyzing North African education systems through the frameworks of Paulo Freire and Martin Carnoy.
