I created the first "strider" bike because I love riding mountain bikes and motorcycles and wanted to inspire my then 2 year old son how to ride. That first bike was such a hit, that I founded the Strider Bikes company in 2007. Since then, Strider has grown into a globally recognized brand and an industry leader, producing lightweight, efficient, all terrain bikes that develop two-wheeled balance, coordination, and confidence in children. We've now sold nearly 5 million bikes worldwide and inspired 10s of millions of kids to ride. But, those are the lucky kids that get a bike as a child. I realized there are many more kids, the majority of kids actually, that never learn to ride.
