Something else happened when I purchased my first home. I developed a love of improving properties. The first home I purchased was a true “fixer upper.” I put work into it, and I learned from the contractors I hired to do the heavy lifting. I was encouraged by the positive responses I got for my hard work from family, friends and neighbors. Since then, I’ve taken on more “fixer uppers,” and I have learned which investments pay off and how to find trustworthy contractors who bring value to the projects. As a Realtor, I act as a home advisor to my clients, sharing my home-improvement knowledge with them.
