Genecis engineers bacteria to make biodegradable plastics from low cost waste streams, with end applications in consumer products, food packaging, medical devices, and drug delivery. Genecis was widely recognized as one of the leading Clean Technology and Biotechnology companies in Canada. Led B2B business development, generating ~$4M USD in revenue. Partnered with Novo Nordisk, largest pharmaceutical company in Europe, to up-cycle their waste into biopolymers for medical applications. Helped secure $8M+ USD in grants and awards, including a $4M government project to de-risk and deploy Genecis' technology. Assisted in closing $10M Series A financing, led by Khosla Ventures.
