Raquel Sanchis

CEO and co-founder of HEMPCRETE, created together with my father, a chemical engineer with more than 50 years of expertise in lime. I specialise in bio-based materials that cut embodied carbon and improve indoor air quality. I collaborate with architects, contractors and public institutions on new build, retrofit and industrialised projects, with a strong focus on Passivhaus strategies, moisture-safe assemblies and practical solutions tailored to warm climates. I provide expert commentary in English and Spanish, supported by data, case studies and on-site experience across Spain and the EU, and I am currently authoring a technical guide to hempcrete for architects.
