When I was a journalist, I did a ride along in an F-16 and asked the pilot to pull 9Gs. I threw up twice and almost passed out. It was like having a hippo sit on your chest. That’s what I like to do – get in the middle of things and tell the story in a powerful way. Today, I’m lucky to do that at Valleywise Health, where we tell powerful stories of survival and determination every day at the state’s only public teaching hospital and safety net system of care.
