I grew up on a farm in the East Texas Town of Sulphur Springs, Texas. As a boy, a strong work ethic was instilled in me. I tended animals, ran tractors, hauled hay, and was a general farm hand. I was drawn to entrepreneurship in high school when I started my own lawn service. Later, I worked my way through college as a car salesman. As a licensed insurance agent who owned multiple insurance agencies prior to opening my law firm, I experienced first-hand how insurance companies handle claims. I did not believe that my insurance clients were being treated fairly by insurance companies when they had claims. I became a lawyer to fight for fair settlements from insurance companies for injured victims.
