Matt Schaefer joined Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital, formerly East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, as President and CEO in August 2020, bringing over a decade of pediatric healthcare leadership experience. He is committed to expanding access to high-quality care for underserved patients and families while advancing innovation in pediatric medicine. Prior to joining Dolly Children’s, Matt served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Children’s Hospital New Orleans, where he led the state’s longest running pediatric congenital heart service and oversaw a $300 million campus transformation effort.
