Mateo Hernandez

Mateo Hernandez is a software engineer based in Medellin, Colombia, who builds production AI and web systems for enterprise clients and for his own company, Solen. His engineering work spans a Server-Driven UI layer used inside the onboarding app at Itau Unibanco, Latin America's largest bank, full-stack ecommerce and AI-automation systems built as the sole technical owner for an outside client, and peer-reviewed multimodal AI research published at IBERAMIA 2024 through Springer. He currently leads engineering at Solen, a research lab focused on how people learn new skills, build a career, and find work.
