I run Settlement Insight, an independent legal-data project that normalizes public U.S. settlement and payout records into one dataset: 28.5 million records totaling $209 billion across 17 government sources. These include the National Practitioner Data Bank (529,804 medical malpractice payments since 2000), the U.S. Treasury Judgment Fund (114,210 federal claims), CFPB consumer complaints, and city comptroller databases such as New York City's.
