Larry Bailey is the founder of RoadTrades, a job marketplace and toolkit for the traveling skilled trades. He got into the trades the way a lot of people do — by joining the Navy. He spent his early twenties as an aviation electrician, then took that trade to the Houston oil field and worked a decade there as an electrician and technician. Turnarounds, shutdowns, long stretches away from home. He learned what the road actually costs. Then he switched sides.
