Kathleen Hallal

Kathleen Hallal is Vice President of Landcare and Municipalities at FireHawk Bioherbicide and a NOFA-Accredited Organic Land Care Professional specializing in regenerative landcare systems. Driven by concerns for children’s health and environmental exposure to conventional pesticides, she led the movement in Irvine, California to adopt an organic approach to land management. The City of Irvine was subsequently honored by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) with the 2019 IPM Achievement Award for its Integrated Pest Management policy, recognizing its innovative, organic-based program to reduce synthetic pesticide use in city parks.
