John Steinbaugh

John Steinbaugh spent 25 years in the U.S. Army, 17 of them as a Special Forces medic, treating severe bleeding on the battlefield. Since 2012 he has worked on XSTAT, the RevMedx platform for non-compressible bleeding. He is VP / Director of Strategic Development at RevMedx, holds several patents for hemorrhage control devices, and has published on wound packing in the American Journal of Emergency Medicine and on prehospital hemorrhage control in Military Medicine. He enlisted in 1987 and retired as a Master Sergeant (18D). He served with the 101st Airborne Division and 10th Special Forces Group, taught SERE, and was selected for a Special Mission Unit in 2002.
