My first job was a paperboy at age 12. I “moved up” to working at McDonald’s flipping burgers, eventually becoming the youngest manager within the company at age 16. I then became their maintenance man for 16 stores before quitting and starting my own handyman/ maintenance company in 2002 at age 22. I bought my first house in Bellevue Nebraska in January 2004 with only an earnest deposit down, cash back at closing, using non traditional bank financing through the bank I’d been with for years. I fixed it up, cash out refinanced it, and paid off debt. My first formal real estate investing training was in 2010.
