I’m a wife and mother (foster/adoptive/biological), RN, nonprofit co-founder, and someone who believes in creating beauty and dignity for kids walking through some of the hardest moments of their lives. My husband and I fostered 40+ children over the last decade. That journey led us to launch Lily Pad: A Soft Place to Land—a nonprofit that transforms DSS offices into calming, home-like spaces where children can feel safe while they wait for placement. We are reducing trauma to an already traumatic situation. I don’t have a polished headshot, just a photo with my favorite person by my side—because he’s been there through all of it.
