I’m co-founder of Campnab, a service that monitors sold-out campgrounds, parks, and permits and alerts campers when new availability opens up. Since launching in 2017, we’ve helped campers navigate increasingly competitive reservation systems across Canada and the U.S., sending millions of campsite availability alerts. I can speak about campsite scarcity, booking-window pressure, cancellation patterns, no-shows, camping bots, reservation-system quirks, and practical strategies for finding campsites in high-demand parks. I’m especially interested in the gap between “fully booked” and actually used inventory, and how better tools, policies, and camper behaviour can improve access to public recreation.
