I grew up fishing and hunting in Texas. These influences shaped my career. I have a Master’s Degree in Marine Policy and a background in fisheries conservation. I have fished-- and given talks on sportfishing and conservation-- on four continents. My background lies in policy analysis, writing… and the outdoors. I have more than 150 publishing credits, have worked in 18 countries-- including living on a boat for a year while managing a marlin fishing lodge in Panama, and served as editor in chief of a major sportfishing publication for four years, and worked as director of conservation and brand communications for Bass Pro Shops. My specialty lies in creating engaging brand stories and impactful, emotionally resonant content.
