Dr. Matthew Sitkowski is the Science Editor-in-Chief at The Weather Channel. In this role, he manages the team of on-air meteorologists and oversees scientific content for the network. He is an Emmy-winning member of the Immersive Mixed Reality production team and is a producer for Weather Geeks, a weekly podcast that discusses weather, risk communication and climate policy. He received his PhD in Atmospheric Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has published several peer-reviewed articles with emphasis on hurricane intensity and structure changes. While earning a BS in Meteorology at Florida State University and a MS in Meteorology at University of Hawaii-Manoa, he worked at the National Hurricane Center in Miami, FL and the Honolulu Forecast Office/Central Pacific Hurr...
