Luisa Ossa

I am a Professor of Spanish at La Salle University. I also served as faculty co-chair of La Salle's Joint-Commission on Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI). My research interests include Afro-Hispanic Literatures and Cultures, the Chinese presence in Latin America, disability in literature, and connections between racism and anti-Blackness in Latin America and the U.S. I am the President of the Afro Latin/American Research Association (ALARA), an international scholarly organization devoted to the study of the African Diaspora in the Americas https://alarascholars.org/.
