Dr. Joseph Bresee, MD, is the Director of the Partnership for Influenza Vaccine Introduction (PIVI), a key program at the Task Force for Global Health (TFGH) focused on creating sustainable respiratory virus vaccination programs in low- and middle-income countries. With more than three decades of experience in influenza and vaccine research, Dr. Bresee began his public health career at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer in 1993. From 1995 to 2005, he focused on rotavirus disease and vaccine development, helping to ensure that rotavirus vaccines were made available to children both in the United States and globally.
