Daniel Pierce MD

Dan Pierce, MD, is a rehabilitation medicine physician and healthcare quality expert who helps reporters cover what happens after the initial injury - recovery, disability, and the long-term cost of care. An Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, he holds physician leadership roles across academic, community, and VA health systems, serves in the AMA House of Delegates, and advises Nebraska's Medicaid program. He can speak to brain injury, spinal cord injury, and stroke recovery, Veterans' health, quality and safety, Medicare/Medicaid policy, and health system sustainability.
