Christopher Smith

I’m the founder and lead designer at Woodsmith Construction Inc., a Toronto-based design-build renovation company specializing in older homes and long-term, thoughtful transformations. I’m a BCIN-licensed designer and a Red Seal carpenter, and my work bridges hands-on building experience with design, planning, and project leadership. I grew up living in houses my father designed and built. That experience shaped how I see renovation—not as a series of tasks, but as a creative and deeply human process. It led me first into carpentry, then into design, and ultimately into leading projects that integrate both disciplines under one roof.
