About a decade ago, I had my own professional headshot taken, and it was terrible. I looked insane. The scariest part is that neither I nor the photographer recognized it. I don’t blame him because headshots are hard, but it was this experience that started me on the path to figuring out how to make the best headshots. Now as a headshot photographer I specialize in making you look confident, like you are a successful expert in your field, and approachable, like you are a nice, trustworthy person, to increase your perceived level of expertise with colleagues and potential clients, which is an opinion they will form almost instantly when they see whatever headshot you are showing the world.
