I help individuals and executive teams examine their power dynamics so they can lead with clarity, trust, and alignment. The truth is, most organizations don’t have a “power strategy.” They recycle old patterns (hierarchies that silence voices, unspoken expectations, and cultures of overwork, for example) that erode trust and performance. From my experience, left unchecked these patterns have a lot in common with cult dynamics: power over, groupthink, desire to belong, fear of stepping out of line.
