BOMA BROWN

Boma is the Founder of the Support Network for Indigenous Women & Women of Colour (SNIWWOC), a national non-profit focused on improving health outcomes for women identifying as Black, Indigenous, and women of colour. In 2025, SNIWWOC has an annual operating budget of over $900,000 with 10 full/part-time employees, and hundreds of clients across Canada. SNIWWOC's donors include the Government of Canada, the Province of British Columbia, Scotia Bank, Lush, Vancouver Foundation, Lululemon, L'Oreal Canada, and more. Originally from Nigeria, Boma is a graduate of the University of Victoria. She was recently awarded the 2020 BC Multiculturalism and Anti-racism Award and was recognized as a 2021 L’Oreal Women of Worth Award honoree.
