Alonzo Nieves is the founder of Philippine Ube Co., a B2B exporter building "Philippine ube" into a premium global ingredient category — the way Colombia did for specialty coffee and Japan did for matcha. Rather than treating ube as a commodity, he's constructing the institutional infrastructure behind an origin brand: standardized grading, farmer cooperatives, toll manufacturing, and direct export relationships with buyers across South Korea, the UAE, Europe, and India.
